The history of MBM Billiards toddler in 1969 when the Cav. Mariano Maggio, owner, was only 23 years. After about two years of experience in the field biliardistico, as representative for the Lazio region of Mari billiards Siena and having acquired the right skills in this area, Cav. ⌈IT⌋ La storia della MBM Biliardi muove i primi passi nel lontano 1969 quando il Cav. Mariano Maggio, titolare dell’azienda, aveva solo 23 anni. Dopo circa due anni di esperienza maturata nel campo biliardistico, quale rappresentante per la regione Lazio della Mari biliardi di Siena e avendo acquisito le giuste competenze in tale settore, il Cav. Maggio decide di mettersi in proprio fondando il primo piccolo laboratorio di quella che sarebbe diventata la più grande fabbrica di biliardi italiana. “Il primo laboratorio era da brivido…” ricorda il titolare. Di dimensioni 4 metri per 4, esso era dotato solamente di un Blake and Decker come attrezzatura, con un banco da lavoro costituito da un tavolaccio ricavato dagli avanzi degli imballaggi in legno che rivestivano i tavoli da ping-pong e da una forza lavoro, rappresentata da un solo operaio lucidatore…non sempre partecipe all’attività lavorativa.

Da questa piccola realtà si passava, dopo alcuni anni, ad uno spazio più ampio di 150 mq. dove cominciavano a prendere posto i primi macchinari e si dava inizio alla revisione dei biliardi già esistenti, cercando di carpirne pregi e difetti e perfezionandone continuamente l’aspetto qualitativo. Tutto questo il Cav. Maggio lo effettuava congiuntamente al lavoro di rappresentanza, mantenendo comunque chiarezza e trasparenza nei confronti dell’azienda per cui era incaricato. In poco tempo i 150 mq. si ampliavano ulteriormente in 400 mq in zona Mandrione (Roma), dove iniziavano a nascere i nuovi biliardi, e veniva lasciata nel frattempo la rappresentanza. E’ in quel momento che veniva a crearsi anche il grande marchio MBM Biliardi (Mariano Maggio Biliardi), nato dallo studio di un grafico di Milano e dall’apporto di architetti, avvocati e amici del Cav. Maggio.
